AIMS

  1. To enable the above using Computer Technology

  2. The To enable the individual to identify scientifically his/her aptitude

  3. software will simplify the testing procedure in following areas

  1. Standardize the Testing Procedure

  2. Ease of operations

  3. Instantaneous Scoring

  4. Analysis of scores and automated outcomes, which will be indicative.

(Trained Psychologists should use these results for counseling)

  1. To utilize this information for analysis and interpretation for Career Guidance and Counseling

  2. To achieve high motivation and concentration while solving the tests

  3. To use the data for research

CONTENTS

The tests will enable measurement of the following traits of an individual
     
1. Cognitive Ability 2. Reasoning Ability 3. Figural Memory
4. Spatial Ability 5. Verbal Ability 6. Social Ability
7. Numerical Ability 8. Numerical Memory  
     
In addition, Orientations of the candidate are measured through a questionnaire. The results indicate various Orientation, viz.
1. Knowledge Orientation 2. Practical Orientation 3. Artistic Orientation
4. Social Orientation 5. Power Orientation 6. Faith Orientation
     

REPORT
Result will be available to the counselor in the form of Standard Score, Ability Quotients. Percentile Ranks and Grades on the above facets. In addition, graphical comparison with standard profiles for 16 different vocations are mapped for the candidate. This will enable the counselor to analyze the candidate's abilities with respect to the standard profile and guide the students in selecting a career. The candidate will get the report of his / her Abilities and orientations in the form of scores, A Graph and Guidance Report.

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Hardware: Please refer to attached sheet

  2. Oath of Secrecy and Agreement Bond for Proper use

  3. A suitable and comfortable separate room (For further details refer to the administrator’s manual)

  4. Training: 3 days – undergoing the test and administering the test (For further details refer to the administrator’s manual)

The starter package contains the following : Installation either on Desktop / LAN (Server + Unlimited nodes) + 2 Languages + 75 candidates. The Initial cost for this package will be Rs. 7500/-. Each additional language will be charged Rs. 1000/-

Computer Resources

1. Network Implementation
Server : A computer based on a Pentium IV processor with at least 256 MB RAM, 10GB Hard Disk, CD-ROM Drive, Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard and Printer (either Color or Black) Microsoft Windows NT server, 2000 server or above operating system.
 
Workstation: A computer based on a Pentium processor with at least 128 MB RAM, 10GB Hard Disk, CD-ROM Drive, SoundBlaster card with Headphones, Color Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard.
 
Microsoft Windows NT, XP or 2000 professional or above operating system.

Ink Jet / Laser Printer (either Color or Black)  can be a shared printer on the LAN.

Network : The computers in the LAN should be suitably cabled and configured with appropriate TCP/IP protocols.

2. Desktop

A computer based on a Pentium processor with at least 128 MB RAM, 10GB Hard Disk, CD-ROM Drive, SoundBlaster card with Headphones, Color Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard.

Microsoft Windows NT, XP or 2000 professional or above operating system.
